Double-clicks on other columns will do what they've done before, too: toggling the "Copy item" state. * MKVToolNix GUI: multiplexer: double-clicking on certain columns in the "tracks" view will now toggle them directly (columns "Default track" & "Forced track") or activate the corresponding control (columns "Language", "Name" & "Delay"). * MKVToolNix GUI: multiplexer: automatically setting the destination file name: added an option in the preferences for using the first source file's directory name instead of its file name as the basis for the destination file name. Therefore the option to disable the dark mode has been removed. The Windows binaries are now built with said Qt version. The advantage is that as of Qt 6.5 the "Fusion" style properly supports Windows 10's & 11's dark application mode. * MKVToolNix GUI: only on Windows: the GUI now uses Qt's "Fusion" style instead of the deprecated "Windows Vista" style. This discards any remaining packets of other tracks. * mkvmerge, MKVToolNix GUI's multiplexer: added an option to stop processing after the primary video track ends called `-stop-after-video-ends`. * mkvmerge: MP4 reader: the comment & encoder meta data (content of the `.©cmt` & `….©too` atoms) will now be copied over as global tags `COMMENT` & `ENCODER` respectively. * mkvmerge: MP4 reader: the title/movie name meta data (content of the `.©nam` atom) will now be copied over as the segment title track header attribute. * mkvmerge: Matroska reader: when reading WebM files that use block additions with ID 4 (HDR for VP9) an appropriate block addition mapping will be created automatically. * mkvmerge: the maximum block addition ID track header value is now calculated automatically from both the existing mappings & the actually used block additions in the block groups. Currently only implemented for Matroska files where it contains the number of cue points. * mkvmerge: JSON file identification: added a child element called `num_index_entries` to the `properties` track element containing the number of index entries found for a track. Removing block additional data is not possible anymore, as it is often required for proper decoding. Also, I doubt the writers of the program ever conceived of anyone wanting to join so many segments together.* mkvmerge: removed the option `-blockadd`. Have you tried appending the segments individually in sequence, one to the previous? Before you complain about having to do it 58 times, if it works, it works. I see that you can rearrange the order of the segments in the lower window, but due to the fact that the appended audio tracks don't move in lockstep with their video tracks, I doubt such rearrangement is of any utility. The append command from the right-click menu source file in mkvtoolnix does allow selecting multiple files. No dialog pops up and the files are placed in parallel for muxing. I tried that, and dragging more files from explorer to the mkvtoolnix window like that just puts the files into muxing, not appending. Select "append" from the resulting dialog.įor some reason they never come through in the correct order, and although you can then drag them around the list to put them in the correct order, it doesn't seem to affect anything when muxing and they will be muxed together in whatever the original order was. Yet the beauty of democracy is that when a government forces change on its citizens, the decision to change the government can be the response. The Liberal government has instead chosen to replace the symbols of our past with sanitized images that make little mention of our shared history and democratic values. We should elevate and emphasize the good, commit to being better and ensure the bad and ugly are not repeated. The good, the bad and the ugly need to be displayed, told and never forgotten. That we have inventors, scientists, scholars, athletes and even a few politicians who we admire, even revere, allows us to feels positive about our country and point out genuine Canadian heroism that our children can aspire to. I believe there are notions and symbols that bind us together and situate us as an important and substantial country that earned its place at the top table due to our respect for freedom, democracy, human rights and our willingness to fight for others to enjoy the same. Our decision to have a passport that highlights great Canadians and their accomplishments was made in the same vein. Bringing back historic ranks, insignia, regiments and honours to commemorate the Canadian Armed Forces’ illustrious contributions to secure global peace and security was similarly important. The historic apology to our First Nations was also part of our effort to reconcile history. I am proud that the government I served in chose to commemorate the importance of the War of 1812 and its heroic figures. Some will argue that this was done to turn away from the decisions of a Conservative government that chose to highlight Canada’s history. But, with pride and purpose, we have steadily built a better country by fortifying rights, rewriting laws and, in deserving cases, offering apologies and even compensation for historic wrongs.Ī Father of Confederation, Nova Scotian Joseph Howe, famously wrote: “A wise nation preserves its records, gathers up its muniments, decorates the tombs of its illustrious dead, repairs its greatest structures and fosters national pride of country, by perpetual references to the sacrifices and glories of the past.” Meanwhile, Trudeau happily takes out his eraser on Canada’s past, just to make sure no one could ever be offended. Why would anyone, or any government, seek to not only diminish but erase those coveted qualities, even in document form?Ĭanada is not perfect. To do this, head into Settings and click on the SD Icon shown above. That’s why you need to set up a PS2 memory card as this bypasses that problem. With that out the way, let’s start getting your legal PS2 BIOS file up and running as without this file, your PS2 games won’t be able to boot.Ĭlick on the start menu (the blue and white icon in the bottom-left of the screen), then go into All Applications, scroll to P, and click on PCSX2 with the right trigger. You can use your BIOS legally, but you can’t use one that’s been downloaded from a Reddit thread, for example. Yes, you can Google “PS2 BIOS files”, but the ones you’ll be downloading won’t be your BIOS files, and that’s where the law is clear. I can’t tell you where to get them as it’s illegal to share them online. How to Install PS2 Bios Filesīefore we get into how to set up a PS2 BIOS in PCSX2, let’s talk about the BIOS files. If you’re unsure how to transfer files to the Steam Deck, specifically files from Windows to the Steam Deck’s Linux environment, I’ve got a guide that covers how to do that through a program called Warpinator. Once you’re inside the PS2 folder, this is where you can place your ROMs (or likely ISO files). For me, it’s installed to my SD card, so the path is as follows: Once EmuDeck has finished installing, go back into the Dolphin File Explorer and locate the PS2 ROMs folder. If you’re not overly-familiar with the Steam Deck just yet, I’d suggest doing the same so our file paths are similar and easy to understand. Note: I have EmuDeck installed on an SD card. Use the right trigger to click on this file twice to open it up.Ĭlick on Execute and follow the on-screen instructions to install EmuDeck. Once that’s downloaded, open up the Dolphin File Explorer (the blue bag icon) and navigate to your Downloads folder. I made a full guide to install EmuDeck, but the quick version is to go to the EmuDeck website, and click on Download Installer. Not only will EmuDeck install a bunch of different emulators, it’ll also configure each of them to work specifically with the Steam Deck and it’ll set up the whole file structure and folders for you. ![]() If you don’t know what the second option is, I’d go the EmuDeck route. The second, is to install it through the Discover store. The first, and the easiest, is through EmuDeck. There are two ways to install PCSX2 on Steam Deck. Click on Switch to Desktop, and after a few seconds you’ll be where you need to be. To enter this mode, boot up the Steam Deck as normal, then hold the Power Button until a menu appears. ![]()
Edited the "DISC" and "GAME" tables in regional.db to show the correct S/N (BASENAME), title, publisher, release, and players.Renamed the LIC file to "SLUS-01066" and edited the title and copyright message.Replaced pcsx.cfg with a clean one from Bleemsync.Deleted the BIN, CUE, and PNG from "/gaadata/3".Edited the CUE file to point to "SLUS-01066.bin".Named the BIN and CUE files "SLUS-01066".I click on it, the screen flashes quickly, but the game doesn't start. I used this to replace Destruction Derby with Tony Hawk 2, but the game won't launch. For confident users, use FTP to browse to "/data/AppData/sony/pcsx/17/.pcsx/" and delete everything in there except the symlink to pcsx.cfg. If anyone needs instructions for deleting the previous appdata then let me know. NOTE - Previous savestates and memory cards will probably cause issues with this. When you now restart the PSC, everything will look the same still, but when you start Tekken3 it will be the NTSC version running at the proper speed instead of PAL slow-motion. Now both are just romw.bin with different names. Download this file, rename it to romJP.bin and upload/overwrite the one on the PSC. It's actually the same one the PSP used and has high compatibility with all regions. Go into the "/gaadata/system/bios" folder. A simple way to fix this is to make sure that both BIOS files are actually the same file. A lot of people have issues with certain games not starting because the wrong BIOS file is trying to boot it. One last thing that I would further recommend involves the BIOS files. There are other things that need to be edited if you are changing the game, but in our case we don't need to do anything else.Īt this point we are basically done. Click on "Write Changes" and close the app. Edit the BASENAME cell from "SCES-01237" to "SLUS-00402". The one we want is GAME_ID 17 (the same as the folder name). Re-download a copy of "/gaadata/databases/regional.db" and open it in DB Browser. Ok, now we need to edit the database to reflect our changed filenames. I've used the 54 setting with all games without issue. Save and upload/overwrite the one on the PSC. Edit the line "psx_clock = 39" to "psx_clock = 54". Re-download the pcsx.cfg (keep your backups from before untouched) and open it in Notepad++. Delete the PAL BIN/CUE files first, then upload your NTSC ones. Because we are replacing with the same game, we can just rename the image and license files to match the new serial instead of uploading new ones. The Tekken3 files are in this folder named SCES-01237.bin, SCES-01237.cue etc, along with the pcsx.cfg file. Therefore it is assumed you have the necessary CUE/BIN files already and named correctly (SLUS-00402)īrowse to "/gaadata/17". In our specific example, we will be replacing the PAL version of Tekken3 with the NTSC version. It's about 14GB, but the USB speed should be pretty good. Ideally, backup the entire folder to PC to keep safe in case of problems. This contains all the stock games and the database and bios files. The folder we are interested in is "/gaadata". If it doesn't work, then you either didn't get Bleemsync installed properly or you have some other PC issues that are beyond the scope of this guide. If successful, you should see a directory listing of the internal storage of the PSC. ![]() Use the following settings to make a connection: Provided your microUSB cable supports data, and not just power, you can now access the FTP server running on the PSC through this same USB connection that is powering the console.
